DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Our guide will pick you from the airport and drive you to Kibale national park or pick you from the hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to Kibale national park, the distance takes about 5-6 hours driver on tarmac road. you will have stopover in Mubende town for refreshments and then proceed to fort portal with beautiful and amazing sceneries along the way with many tea plantations and lunch stop in calm town of fort portal and the later visit the Toro kingdom palace and the region of crater lakes then proceed in the evening at booked lodge in Kibale forest national park for dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING EXPERIENCE AND BIGODI SWAMP WALK
Our day will begin with the early morning breakfast and meet your driver guide and transfer to the briefing point of the park headquarters at Kanyanchu visitation point and after our chimpanzee tracking starts. The experience will give you a chance to over 10 primate species in this park, over 300 species of birds, mammals, butterflies and identifying tree species and meeting with chimps you will be given only 1 hour to interact with the closest relative of human being and return to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon you will drive for the Bigodi swamp walk known as the KAFRED a community based organization and its home of the great blue turaco bird species and over 137 bird species and primates.
You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY: 3 TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL
Today you will have early morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes 2-3 hours with en-route viewing of Rwenzori mountain ranges and crater lakes reaching by lunch time at booked lodge have lunch.
In the afternoon like 3:00pm you will drive for the adventure boat cruise along the Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The boat cruise will provide you with memorable life time experience while taking photos and viewing both mammals and birds.
The cruise gives you chance to view animals like, schools of hippos, waterbucks, buffaloes and elephants cooling their bodies on the bank of the channel alongside 58 species of birds that are recorded on this channel like pied kingfisher, little egrets, cattle egrets, yellow billed stork, cormorants, saddle billed stork, black winged stilt, spur winged plover, Egyptian geese and many more.
You will later return to the booked lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: MORNING GAME DRIVE EN-ROUTE TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK.
Today we shall have morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Bwindi gorilla park with en-route game viewing having chance to see more wildlife like elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, lions, leopards, hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, oribis and many more passing through the remote sector of queen Elizabeth national park for tree climbing lions having and if you’re lucky you can see this rare species climbing up in fig trees while resting.
You will continue to Bwindi impenetrable national park checking to the booked lodge relaxation until dinner and overnight.
DAY 5: GORILLA TRACKING EXPERIENCE
Today we shall have early morning breakfast and transfer to the briefing point of Uganda wildlife authority were ranger guides will give you what to do while on gorilla trekking. This activity takes around 2-8 hours and it requires someone to be physical fit and you’re recommended to be with packed lunch and drinking water. The activity is every exciting and its worthwhile meeting with this gentles apes while on finding the gorillas you’re only allowed to spend 1 hour and return to the lodge
In the evening you may decide to rest or take community walk to the interesting Batwa community.
DAY 6: TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Today we shall have early morning breakfast and checkout of the lodge to transfer to Lake Mburo national park with interesting views of rolling hills, slopes and the beautiful cultivation terraces. The journey takes 5-6 hours reaching in Mbarara town and check in to the booked hotel have lunch and proceed to Lake Mburo national park for the afternoon boat cruise on lake mburo having chance to wildlife on water like hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, elephants and buffaloes seen on the bank of the lake with variety of bird species
You will have chance to enjoy the evening sunset on the lake while taking photos. You later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight
DAY 7: TRANSFER BACK TO ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT FOR DEPARTURE AND EN-ROUTE GAME DRIVE
Today will be our final day of our 7 days wildlife trip to Uganda. the day begins with early morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Kampala while on checking out of the park you will have chance to see animals like zebras, impalas, dikers, elands, Uganda kobs, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas and wide variety birds. Lunch stop will be made at Uganda equator line crossing and have chance to take photos at, the equator monument and explore souvenir markets around.
Later proceed to Entebbe international airport for departure flight or decide to check in to the hotel of your choice.
