Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi Transfer to Samburu by flight
You will be picked at 8a.m from your Nairobi hotel and be transferred to Wilson Airport for a mid-morning flight to Samburu. You will have lunch en route to Samburu. You will be picked by our guide once you land. Have a game drive en route to the camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 4pm
Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue legged Somali Ostrich.
Day 2: Samburu Full day experience
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of table top Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon at booked hotel
Day 3: Samburu Transfer to Lake Nakuru by road (5-6 hours)
Have breakfast then depart for Lake Nakuru arriving before lunch time. Later afternoon game drive to see the famous white Rhino and black rhino found in this park among other wildlife.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru Day trip to Lake Bogoria – Transfer to Lake Naivasha
Have breakfast then head to Lake Bogoria carrying packed lunch with you. Have guided nature walks on the shores of the lake. Later have lunch then head to Lake Naivasha.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha Transfer to Maasai Mara by flight
After an early breakfast, drive to Lake Naivasha to catch a flight departing a 10.15am to arrive in Mara at 11a.m. Upon landing, you will be met by the camp’s driver who will transfer you to the camp with a game drive en route. Afternoon game drive is be at 4p.m. Look out for Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo.
Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara Full day game drives
These 2 whole days will be spent with morning and afternoon game drives that lead one to some of Africa’s largest lion prides, herds of zebra, antelopes, buffaloes, wildebeest, giraffes, cheetahs, and hyenas. In between game drives, there will be picnic lunch along the banks of Mara River.
Day 8: Maasai Mara Transfer to Serengeti, by flight
Have another early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. Thereafter, be transferred to the airstrip for a flight to Migori departing Mara at 11.30am to arrive in Migori at noon. There is a short scenic road transfer between Migori Airstrip and Tarime Airstrip. There will be a stop for immigration. Upon landing in Serengeti in the afternoon, you will be picked by the camp’s guide and immediately have a game drive till 6p.m. when you check in for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9: Serengeti Full day
Spend this whole day with morning and afternoon game drivers within the Great Serengeti. Serengeti is the home to Africa’s Big Five. All meals will be taken at the camp.
Day 10: Serengeti – Transfer to Ngorongoro (Approximately 3 hours)
After breakfast, you will be picked by our guide and depart for Ngorongoro Crater with a short stop at Olduvai Gorge. Enjoy an introductory game drive as you arrive at the crater as you head to the lodge. There will be no other game drive so spend the remaining hours at leisure enjoying walking around the surrounding areas and exploring the lodge’s facilities.
Ngorongoro is quiet unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wilderness on the earth. It has been also declared the world heritage and is the largest intact crater in the world.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater Full day
After breakfast, check out of the lodge with packed picnic lunch and depart for a tour of the crater floor, which is home to numerous plains game and the big five. Spend the day within the crater and have lunch at one of the famous picnic spots in the park. In the evening you will return to the lodge which is strategically perched on the rim of the collapsed volcano, with the most magnificent views of the crater floor.
Day 12: Ngorongoro Transfer Lake Manyara
Have early breakfast then depart for Lake Manyara. Arrive before lunch time. Check in at the camp, have lunch, relax and later enjoy a game drive at 4o’clock.
Day 13: Lake Manyara – Transfer to Amboseli (Via Namanga, by road)
After breakfast at the lodge depart to the Namanga border. Clear customs and immigration formalities then join Kenya tour driver and proceed to Amboseli. Once you arrive at the park, you will enjoy a game drive as you head to the camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive is at 4p.m.
Look out for large herds of elephants, lions, leopard, gazelles, wild dogs and the magnificent view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Day 14: Amboseli Full day
Spend this day with morning and afternoon game drives with stay in the camp in between.
Day 15: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi, by flight
Have another early morning game drive then return to the camp for breakfast. You will have an afternoon flight to Nairobi. It departs Amboseli at 3.30p.m to arrive at 4.15p.m .You will have dinner at Carnivore Restaurant before drop off at the airport or your hotel.
