DETAILED ITINERARY
ARRIVAL DAY
On this day, you will be welcomed by our safari guide who will pick you at Entebbe international airport or any of Uganda’s border points in Busia, Malamba, Katuna, Elegu and Mutukula and dropped top agreed place of accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight
DAY 1: PICK UP FROM PLACE OF ACCOMMODATION AND TRANSFER TO KUMI WITH DIFFERENT STOPS EN-ROUTE
You will have pick up from place of accommodation after breakfast by your driver guide, after briefing you will drive to east of Uganda via number of districts which have great sceneries including mabira forest, tea plantations, sugar cane plantations in Lugazi, lake Victoria, river Nile at Owen falls dam and new Nile bridge for photo moments among others
Later make lunch stop in Mbale town for lunch and continue to Kumi district reaching by evening and check into the booked lodge of accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight
Day 2: full day Nyero
You will wake up with relaxed breakfast and meet your guide to take you for full day rock experience helped by the resident’s local guides. The rocks present to you the beautiful viewing of wordings and pictures that gives exciting and life time memories. While on the rocks you will enjoying primate watching and birding watching while indentifying some bird species
You will later return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation until evening like 3:00pm drive to interact with the community around to explore more information about paintings and wording on the rock
Dinner and overnight at booked place of accommodation
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
Your will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge and start your journey to the land of pastoralists Karamojong natives, arriving by lunch time and this land boasts second biggest national park in Uganda that is kidepo valley national park
You will check in to the booked lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at the lodge enjoying the lodge facilities until dinner and overnight
DAY 4: COMMUNITY VISIT EXPERIENCE FOR THE CULTURAL TOUR
You will have relaxed breakfast at the hotel and walk for the guided cultural village tour where you will have a chance to interact with Karamonjong and you will see the Kraals belonging to the community, traditional costumes, stools, spears, knives, bows and arrows, Jewellery among others.
The visitors get unique unforgettable experience and understanding of nomadic lifestyle around Karenga and kidepo. The elders will show you the kraals, gliding stones, local defense fences and cultural dances as “Edonga”. Not to be missed on this tour is local community near the park staging cultural dances such as Emuya of the Naporre and Nyangia, Larakaraka and Apita dances of Acholia are worthy to see and participate interesting and some of these item are worthy to take as souvenir. After this cultural thrill, you will return to the lodge for diner and overnight
DAY 5: EXPLORE KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK (FULL DAY’S)
Wake up early morning with the warm cup of coffee/tea head for the morning game drive to explore more Kidepo. You will be rewarded with diverse game in this well preserved wild. You will return to the lodge for full breakfast and take the rest of time for leisure until lunch
In the evening set off for and enchanting Ostrich drive around the Kanangorok hot spring. You will be rewarded with variety and numbers of animals who come to drink water at the river banks and baboons may be seen roaming floor of Kidepo River and palm trees
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
DAY 6: TRANSFER TO SIPI
You will wake up with relaxed breakfast at 7:00am in the morning and check out of the lodge drive to Sipi falls in the foot hills of Mount Elgon with en-route of viewing and enjoying the scenic view of Paine-Upe game reserve plains and animal watching along the way. You will have lunch en-route reaching Sipi falls late afternoon or early evening and check in to the booked lodge in Sipi for relaxation, dinner and overnight
DAY 7: FULL DAY SIBINYI LAND
Rise up early and have breakfast, set out with the residents local guides who will guide about the caves and the cultural beliefs behind this beautiful features and return to visit the Sipi falls experiencing the sights sounds of the falls with different activities like abseiling and bum jumping then after lunch you will walk to the community to interact with the Sabinyi and discover more about their traditional system of genital circumcision and enjoy their coffee plantations
You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
DAY 8: TRANSFER TO MBALE TO VISIT BAMASABA MALE IMBALU SITE
You will have relaxed breakfast at 8:00am in the morning and check out of the lodge to Mbale town with en-routing viewing of Karamojong land that gives great viewing sceneries of mount moroto and then proceed down the valley to Mbale town. Reaching Mbale town you will visit the Bamasaba kingdom palace and then after your lunch you will be taken to visit the cultural circumcision site of Bagishu cultural that is done every even year (Imbalu)
You will return to the booked lodge for dinner and overnight
DAY 9: TRANSFER TO JINJA
Start your day with delicious breakfast as you get ready to check out of the lodge and set off for Jinja town that presents with beautiful sceneries and attractions around such as Itanda falls, Bujagali falls, source of Nile, and Masese fishing landing site, Jinja sailing club among others
You will visit source of Nile as you reach Jinja town with beautiful boat cruise and after your lunch you will be taken to Bujagali falls for tubing or white rafting
You will return to selected place f accommodation in Jinja for diner and overnight
DAY 10: TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
You will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer back to kampala with en-route visit to Sezibwa falls in Buikwe district to enjoy the cultural beliefs behind the falls and later proceed with the journey making another visit to Namungogo martyrs shrine and have lunch around the shrine later proceed with route to city centre with another visit to Bahia temple the first temple in east Africa
You will check in to the booked place of accommodation in Kampala or Entebbe for dinner and overnight
DEPARTURE DAY
You will have relaxed breakfast and checkout of the lodge depending on your departure/ flight time. You will be picked up and transferred at Entebbe airport or declared border post and dropped off for departure
